Investment Banking Senior Analyst / Associate – Public Finance

The opportunity is based in New York, NY with our Public Finance Investment Banking Team.

Job Description

Oppenheimer will provide the successful candidate with a high level of responsibility and extensive access to senior management and clients. Transaction teams at Oppenheimer are typically small in size, allowing employees to have significant responsibilities and client-facing experience early in their career.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare financial analyses and bond models
  • Conduct due diligence investigations
  • Support the preparation of detailed presentation materials and pitch books
  • Respond to requests for proposals
  • Support the senior bankers on live transactions

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of full-time work experience as an analyst at an investment bank or credit rating agency
  • Passion for the Public Finance industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Elevated attention to detail and consistency in work product
  • Strong work ethic and team player mentality with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, lean deal team work environment
  • Organized and proactive; motivation to contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
  • Strong Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, proficiency in Excel and DBC
  • SIE, 63, 52 FINRA Registrations required at time of hiring or shortly thereafter

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
