Job Description

The firm is seeking a Treasury Bond Broker to join our Fixed Income Sales team. The individual in the role will be responsible in managing and executing treasury bond transactions and provide strategic solutions to institutional clients and broker dealers. The individual can be based in either the Firm’s New York headquarters or other regional offices, including Chicago, Atlanta and Boston. Compensations is tied to revenue generation.

***The individual must also have established relationships with institutional corporate bond buyers, especially qualified institutional buyers. ***

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Treasury transactions across various government securities
  • Promote and sell treasury bond products to clients
  • Collaborate with team members to achieves sales goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new institutional clients, providing market insights and investment strategies
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and Federal Reserve policies to inform trading decisions
  • Provide real-time market intelligence and pricing information to internal/external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and details records of all trading activities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a treasury broker or similar government bond sales role
  • FINRA Registrations: Series 7 and Series 63 must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Existing client relationships with institutional investors and a demonstrated ability to grow revenue
  • Experience working at a broker dealer or financial institution
  • Understanding of fixed- income markets, treasury securities and financial derivatives
  • Demonstrated and proven success in sales and relationship management
  • Advanced knowledge of Bloomberg Terminal and other financial trading platforms

Compensation:

The total compensation for this position will comprise of a base salary set at the applicable minimum wage salary, based on the individual’s location, and an attractive commission structure based upon revenue generation by salesperson.
