Jr. Operations Specialist (Dividends)

Job Description

Oppenheimer's Operations team is seeking an Operations Specialist that will support the daily functions of the Dividend department in our New York office. The role requires someone who will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and have a collaborative mindset to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Enter applicable departmental data into FINET system
  • Apply concept of debits and credits to daily work
  • Audit data coding for the department, take corrective action when needed
  • Maintain files and storage system records; work with records management vendors
  • Perform basic bookkeeping for pledges and releases
  • Other functions and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency preferred
  • College degree in business, finance, accounting or math is a plus
  • Possess a high degree of proficiency with technology including MS Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • 3-5 years in Dividends experience

Compensation

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $60-65K at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
